Pathology & Blood Storage
We specialise in the design, installation, and support of temperature-controlled environments for pathology laboratories, blood storage facilities, and clinical research units.
We work closely with NHS pathology departments, private laboratories, academic
research centres, and public health organisations to deliver reliable, medically
compliant refrigeration systems tailored to the storage of blood products, tissue
samples, reagents, and other highly sensitive biological materials.
Supporting Critical Clinical Operations
From blood transfusion units to tissue banks, pathology labs and microbiology suites, we provide purpose-built solutions that align with clinical workflows, infection control requirements, and the latest regulatory standards.
Our systems are trusted by both public and private sector healthcare providers, supporting operations in haematology, histology, immunology, virology, cytology, and biomedical science. We understand the pressures of delivering under UKAS, MHRA,
HTA and CQC inspection – and we design with that in mind from day one.
Engineered for Medical-Grade Precision
Every system is tailored to the specific needs of the facility. We deliver environments capable of maintaining a range of validated storage conditions, including +2°C to +6°C for red blood cells, -20°C for fresh frozen plasma and cryoprecipitate, and ultra-
low temperature solutions for long-term sample preservation. Ambient control (15°C to 25°C) and specialist ranges for histology and reagent storage are also available. Beyond temperature, we ensure consistent air circulation, data-logged performance, and advanced alert systems with SMS, email and building management system (BMS) integration. For critical facilities, we engineer in redundancy — whether via dual refrigeration circuits, auto-changeover systems, or backup power integration.
Designed for Compliance & Inspection
Regulatory compliance is at the heart of our approach. All systems are delivered in accordance with relevant standards including UKAS ISO 15189, MHRA blood storage guidance, HTA codes of practice, and relevant NHS Estates specifications. We also ensure that your installation is audit-ready for CQC and other
health service regulators.
Every cold room or refrigeration system is validated with full documentation: from user requirement specifications and IQ/OQ protocols, to temperature mapping, calibration certificates and equipment logs. Our validation engineers can also assist
with requalification, audit preparation, and corrective action planning following findings.

Custom Design for Pathology & Blood Facilities
No two labs are the same. That’s why our solutions are fully bespoke. We offer single-room or multi-zone configurations, internal and external installations, and can build within cleanroom or infection-controlled zones. Whether you are fitting out a new facility or retrofitting into a working laboratory, our engineers plan with your clinical teams to minimise disruption and deliver smoothly.
We also supply and integrate high-performance medical fridges, plasma freezers, tissue freezers and ULT units, as part of a broader cold storage solution or standalone enhancement to your lab operations.
Ongoing Support & Maintenance
Once installed, your equipment is only as good as the support behind it. That’s why we offer full Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) packages and 24/7 emergency call-out services, with experienced engineers trained to work in live medical settings.
We offer annual temperature requalification, alarm testing, sensor replacement, refrigeration servicing and system upgrades, with fast response times and a deep understanding of how critical these environments are to your daily operations.
